Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix was a natural athlete and developed a passion for sprinting at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished 2nd in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by running 200m in 22.18 secs. She was the youngest world winner in the 200m at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top third in each of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
